Parks is a solo project of composer and musician from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Igor Bystrov.
Igor was born in Krasnodar, Russia. He studied in musical school, then it was Sochi Musical College and Rostov Conservatory on Estrada class. At the moment Igor is living at Saint Petersburg.
It’s quite difficult to say which genre Parks music belongs to. At the first glance this is ambient with a bits of trip-hop and new age. More listening, more understanding that ambient is not more than echo due its sampler nature. Talking about samples, the people working with Igor are saying he is real master of sample processing and transforming.
His first album 'Music of full Moon' was recorded in 1990 but was released only in 2000. Everybody who listened to it were suprised by this fact, so fresh was its sound.
The second album was 'Where Trees End', recorded in 1991 and published in Spring in 2001, almost ten years.
Then there was a small time-out, marked with Postcolor Sensation (X-Love mix) video clip translated on NBN TV-channel and the very first Parks publication - 'Trains' was selected for “Eastern Hit” compilation from "contrforce.ru". At the same time Igor recorded 'Umber' and 'The Depths' albums.
At the moment, Igor has published 8 albums, and is working on the new album, which will be published soon...
